The Beharbros have just announced a pre-assembled, consolized MVS kit. This is using the VGA and SCART adapters they’d previously announced and an all-metal case. The features are as follows:
- Custom designed, auto painted, full metal enclosure; Multiple colors available
- Custom Jamma I/O board simplifies the cabling inside
- Custom impedance matching RGBS Scart video output board
- Custom FPGA based VGA Scandoubler board for 480p output with scanlines and pixel blending options that can be selected with dipswitches
- Stereo audio output
- Replaceable battery
- Latest Unibios included, the original from Razoola, with individually numbered/name/model etc. Free upgrades
- Aluminum Hi-Fi feet
- High quality 110/220V AC adapter, 5V 3A
- Component video output option being considered
The Beharbros will sell this both as a complete package that includes a refurbished MV1C motherboard, or as just a kit where you use you exiting motherboard. Price and availability haven’t been announced yet, but I’ll keep everyone updated when I have more info.
Overall, there’s a ton of Neo Geo options becoming available these days and all seem to find their specific niche. If you’re looking for dual SCART and VGA, this kit is probably the one for you!
