Philips CDi
Most CDi’s require a modification to output RGB and some are much easier than others. Please see below for details.
CDi-220 RGB Mod
This guide shows you how to mod your CDi-220 for RGB-output. |
Here’s some info on the top-loading CDi consoles’ RGB mod. |
PAL CDi’s:
Thanks to confirmation from Europe, I now have information that some PAL CDi’s actually have an RGB SCART connector on the back. This has been confirmed to output RGB and not just composite-via-SCART:
To summarize, here’s what I suggest for the CDi:
– If your CDi outputs S-Video, you might not want to mod it at all, as it’s already a sharp signal.
– If you own a CDi-220 and want RGB, follow my guide for easy RGB!
– If you have a CDi 450 (top-loader) use this board for RGB modding: https://retrogamerstuff.com/collections/cd-i/products/philips-cd-i-400-500-series-rgb-board?ref=9qd6Y
