Game developer Kagesan has just released a complete homebrew shmup for the SMS called Flight of Pigarus. According to Kagesan:
“The game is a score-attack shoot’em-up, which means that the main goal is to score as many points as you can within a strict time limit. The game saves the highest score for each of its modes. Additionally, replays of the runs that led to those highscores are saved, so you can watch them later and see where you might be able to improve.“
The game is surprisingly complete, with full box and cartridge art, as well as a manual written in five different languages! It’s compatible with real hardware and ROM/Flash carts like the Everdrives, so I highly recommend anyone with the ability to play it, gives it a try!
