Koala Koa has just dropped the price of the M3 MiSTer Multisystem to $400 plus shipping. This is $250 off the original price and an absolute steal, as they’re the same pre-configured kits that even include TapTo pre-installed into the case, with some NFC cards to launch the licensed games that come pre-loaded! Tons more details (included everything that’s included) and a full unboxing / demo can be found below:

This sale is basically a once in a lifetime opportunity, to get a full kit with a real DE-10 Nano at basically less than cost. This is all possible, as Koala understands people will be looking to the cheaper DE-10 alternatives for future purchases, but wants to sell the leftover stock to fund a future project in the education space (not publicly sold). As much as I never want to see good companies loose money, this is one of those unavoidable scenarios that could happen to anyone. And respectfully, his loss is your gain, as here’s everything you get with this (formerly $650!!) kit:
A fully assembled and configured MiSTer setup, along with a Retro Fighters controller, fully-shielded SCART cable, wireless keyboard, MeanWell 4a PSU, 128GB Micro SD card, MicroSD extension kit, WiFi/Bluetooth dual USB module and NFC cards pre-programmed with games legally licensed to be sold on these units:
- Astebros
- Demons of Asteborg
- Cyborg Force
- Dottie Flowers
- 240p Test Suite for Neo Geo
At the moment, all versions are still in stock, including the original MiSTer Multisystem case, Genesis 2-inspired case, Neo Geo AES-inspired case and the Grey PlayStation 1-inspired case. Once sold out, they’re gone forever, as Koala won’t be making these kits anymore.
I’ve personally tested everything and it’s exactly as I hoped: A “turnkey” MiSTer setup that someone can just buy and start gaming. There’s really not much else the average MiSTer user would want with this, so the price includes everything. When taking that into consideration, even the original $650 sounds fair…but $400 is insanely good! Sure, the MiSTer MultiSystems’s don’t support 24-bit analog output, but that only matters for the N64 and PS1 core. And really, at that price, just add an $8 HDMI to VGA dongle and run Direct Video if you really need 24-bit support for those cores ;p
Here’s a full, deep-dive livestream where I proved without a doubt it’s a quality product:
