Furrtek has just posted a progress update to his MiSTer FPGA core for the Neo Geo. While it’s not quite in a usable state, it’s an exciting advancement from his Patreon post a few months ago. There’s some speculation that this core will require a larger RAM upgrade than is currently used on the MiSTer, but that remains to be seen.
Personally, I’m hopeful that this will end up as both a MiSTer core and a standalone FPGA console with dual HDMI and analog (JAMMA & RGB) outputs! Please consider supporting Furrtek on Patreon to help this project along!: https://www.patreon.com/furrtek/

Progress on the #NeoGeo MiSTer core. Can you identify a game without sprites ? :p
The noise in the picture is caused by an SDRAM timing issue which causes the cpu data to be sometimes latched in place of the graphics. Nothing really serious. pic.twitter.com/luofLdkGvZ— Furrtek (@furrtek) January 10, 2019
