Digital Artist DVIZIX has just released the latest Sega Neptune shell revision. This is a homebrew re-creation of the original Neptune prototype, which was a canceled Sega console that would play Genesis and 32x games. The updated shell can still fit Genesis 2 motherboards, however there’s also an option for a removable rear plate, should you decide to change it’s use, or adapt it to future projects. You can currently order them from PCBWay, however it’s not cheap at about $360 plus shipping. Hopefully an injection-molded version will be available at some point, as even in low quantities, it should be about half the price. Check out more info below the links:

The first thing to note, is you might need to order different components, based on what you’ll be using it for: A Genesis 2 motherboard transplant, a “frankenstein Neptune” like Tito built (video below), Cosam’s amazing Neptune motherboard with Genesis / 32x chips (video coming soon!), or any future project that might be released. Dvizix has posted PDF’s that show exactly which components are needed for each and I’ve put together a short video below demonstrating what to expect.
As a note, my video is meant to get you started, but I don’t walk through each piece. You’ll want to pay attention to which parts are glossy, matte, transparent, etc. Also, I personally tested one from PCBWay and I can vouch for the quality: This looks like a “real” console and most people wouldn’t be able to tell it came from a print factory!
