Kevin Mellot has just opened pre-orders on a bluetooth adapter for the Virtual Boy, but needs a minimum number of orders in order to make the production run. This is based off the very low latency BlueRetro adapters and a portion of all sales will go to the original developer Darthcloud. If the target isn’t hit, all orders will be refunded and the production run will be cancelled, so if you’re interested, make sure to get your order in!

While in the past, I’d be skeptical of using bluetooth controllers on classic consoles, projects like BlueRetro have changed my mind. They’re low-latency and are compatible with tons of different controllers; At the moment, Wii, Switch, PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S & generic HID Bluetooth (BR/EDR & LE) devices are supported, with more to come!
