SNES Central has just posted a full writeup of a newly found Super Nintendo prototype: The western localization of Super Ultra Baseball 2, which looks like it was going to be released as “Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 2”.
The game appeared to be more than just a language translation, including an updated color palette and some new graphics:
My eyes certainly favor the look of the updated prototype and it’s sad the game was never released out of Japan for people to experience.
