wizzo now has a new shop where you can buy TapTo devices and accessories. At the moment, if you head over to shop.wizzo.dev, you have the option to order:

-A TapTo Starter Kit
-TapTo trading cards
-TapTo NFC readers in complete or DIY form

BedroomNinja is also selling a TapTo sticker applicator. This will help you more easily place stickers on NFC cards.

 

CD-i

The in development CD-i core added the following updates to increase compatibility:

-There were some transparency fixes and a Jeopardy Hack was added in case an invalid transparency mode is used.
-A 16 color high resolution mode of the CD-i was added.
-There were also fixes to the visuals of the validation Disc menu and noisy pixels of the Photo CD Sample Disc.
-Additive color mixer was also added and this fixes the intro cutscenes in Zelda’s Adventure.

 

MiSTer MultiSystem SNES SNAC

The creators of the MiSTer MultiSystem released a SNES 2 player SNAC adapter that plugs in the the MultiSystem cartridge port. Owners of standard MiSTer setups can also use this adapter because there’s a port for a USB cable that will let you connect the adapter into a SNAC/USER port.

 

Salamander Public Release

The Salamander arcade core now has a public release. Developed by Raki, this core can now be downloaded when you run the update script.

 

Konami arcade hardware & new arcade schematices

Jotego’s team applied the following fixes to several Konami arcade games:

X-Men:
Missing button 3 is fixed
The missing OSD option for dip switches was fixed
Shadow problems in the game was fixed.

Sunset Riders:
The title logo did not display correctly and that is now fixed.

Jotego also mentioned starting to extract schematics for an arcade soccer game called Tehkan World Cup.

The Simpsons:
Some missing images were fixed.

Parodius Da!:
Several horizontal appearance problems were fixed and a graphical glitch when using the blue bell explosion was fixed.

 

RF Adapter

For users who have a television that only supports RF connections, MiSTer Addons sells an adapter that converts composite output to RF. The adapter costs $35.

 

Twinbee

Developer Raki announced that the Twinbee core will possibly be released in November. Twinbee is a cartoony vertically scrolling shooter released by Konami.

 

RetroRemake SNAC Adapter

RetroRemake, the company behind the MiSTer Pi recently showed their first SNAC adapter. It’s a 1 player adapter for the SNES core.
