It looks like the 240p Test Suite team has just posted a new update to the MD Fourier audio testing section of the software. First, the Audio Equipment Test profile has been tuned even more, offering recording analysis up to 96k and helping to further test the recording capabilities of the recording hardware itself; Something that’s crucial to determining which are the most reliable test devices to use.
They’ve also added the ability to test stereo vs mono recordings, for scenarios like SMS vs Game Gear audio tests…something I didn’t even realize was possible.
There’s a ton more tweaks and updates to the software on their Patreon page. The software and Patreon updates are all free, but if you’re a user of the 240p Test Suite and have the ability to sign up, please consider becoming a supporter of their project: https://www.patreon.com/posts/internal-changes-35502314
