A team of people have just released the full project files from their attempt to re-create the original NES Legend Of Zelda inside Doom: https://www.moddb.com/mods/zelda-tc
It was an ambitious attempt that looks shockingly good! I’m not sure if I’d want to play through the entire game like this, but I’d certainly get a kick out of exploring at least one of the dungeons like this! Or maybe even a hack that’s top-down on the overworld and Doom-style in the dungeons?
