Pre-orders are still open for the third batch of “MiSTer Pi’s” from Taki Udon. This is a homebrew version of the DE-10 Nano required to use a MiSTer and (despite the misleading name) has nothing to do with a Raspberry Pi. Both the full kits with a case, as well as case-less kits are still available for $180 & $155 respectively and they’re due to ship to customers around February. A few other accessories are still in stock, but the $100 DE-10 clone only is sold out. It’s worth noting that the $180 price, plus shipping is still cheaper than just the official DE-10, making this an excellent deal. More info after the link:

Regardless of having the most confusing name in retro, this DE-10 alternative was recently deep-dive tested and performed really well. I’d be interested to see deep-dive tests on the analog I/O board as well, as analog video is really tricky to get right. Still, that price is excellent, so if you’re willing to wait about three months to get it, go for it!
…and if you’d like to see both this and the QMTech alternative in action, please check out Ken’s videos on them:
