The Psychic core that was developed by Raki, is now part of the official MiSTer repository. For users, this means that the core will download from the official MiSTer repository instead of an external one. This change will not affect Update All users.

 

GoLEm FPGA

The GoLEm FPGA project will be rebranded in the future as 1fpga and there are now dedicated forums for it.

This is what the GoLEm FPGA project is:

“GoLEm wants to be a replacement for the MiSTer Firmware, achieving the same emulation capabilities, but with a better codebase (more maintainable) and an easier, user-focused interface.”

 

Ranny Snice Wallpapers

Ranny Snice has released a whole bunch of awesome wallpapers that you can use now on your MiSTerFPGA. Here are the recent ones.

MiSTer MultiSystem PSX SNAC Cartridge

MiSTer MultiSystem owners, which includes owners of the Marsupial MiSTerFPGA Multisystem, now have the option to purchase a SNAC cartridge for Playstation 1 controllers. The cartridge also includes an RCA port for GunCon lightguns.

You can purchase the cartridge for 30 pounds.

 

Taki Udon DE10 Nano Alternative

Taki posted finalized pricing for the upcoming DE10 Nano alternative bundles. They are as follows.

The MiSTer board plus fan will be under $99.
The MiSTer board, fan and 128MB SDRAM will be under $115.
The MiSTer board, RAM, 15W power brick, USB hub and Analog IO board will be $160.
The USB Hub, Analog IO boards will also be available for purchase individually.

 

QMTech Clone Review

Sunset Riders

Jotego has released a brand new beta core. It’s called JTRIDERS and the first game that it runs is the Konami arcade classic, Sunset Riders. Support for the 2P versions of Sunset Riders will be released in the future, together with some GFX fixes needed for the second boss fight.

 

Other Jotego Updates

Jotego team also worked on other tasks.

  • Graphics for Alien Storm graphics have been restored after the regression introduced with the Moonwalker release
  • WWF SuperStars schematics are now about 30% complete
  • The Simpsons default configuration has been set to play the opening theme.
  • Jotego’s team is on holidays next week, so there will be no update on the 2nd of August.

 

 

TapTo

Wizzo released the model for the USBC TapTo reader case on printables. The design is available free for personal use.

wizzo also posted some images of custom PCBs with labels and NFC stickers attached. These were designed by @TheTrain24.

Ariel Aces also has some revised TapTo NFC card designs themed after the Sega Saturn.
