The Computer History Archives Project recently uploaded a Sony promotional film from the 70’s that shows their electronics (including CRT!) factories, as well as pricing and info on TV’s and other products. If you’re even remotely interested in electronics history, this 11-min video is a must watch!

As expected, I loved seeing another “factory tour” and it was also cool to see the evolution of TV’s from the 60’s to early 80’s. Another thing that struck me is the price – A 1962 Trinitron was $250, which is about $2500 today. Also, it was fun to see 1969 marketing about why the Trinitron tube is “better” than shadow mask. Just watch it for yourself, you’ll definitely be entertained!
