Retrofrog is now selling a vertical stand for the RetroTINK 5x. It’s not only aesthetically a cool choice, but there’s some functionality to it as well: As shown above, there’s a slot that holds the remote control, as well as a place for a velcro strip / zip tie that’s used for wire management. I found it very sturdy and the rubber feet on the bottom help it from shifting around. Unless someone yanks the cables, this isn’t going anywhere.

I think stuff like this is a great idea and a both a fun and functional thing to own. While not everyone will benefit from storing their RT5x vertically, if this fits your setup, it’s a great way to keep all the wires flowing in one direction. Plus, having a dedicated home for the remote control is always nice 🙂
