Modern Vintage Gamer just posted an awesome overview of the IGS PolyGame Master (PGM). He covers the hardware similarities to the Neo Geo, as well as some of the most unique games on the platform. As MVG stated, there’s great software emulation options like MAME, however the recent IGS Classic Arcade Collection for the Switch should (at least at the time of writing this post) be avoided. In fact, that collection is (in my opinion, not necessarily MVG’s) the perfect example of a cheap cash grab that’s not at all a good representation of the games. While I haven’t done a deep dive, the audio emulation is terrible and the lack of aspect ratio controls shows whoever ported this game didn’t have a clue about how these games were originally displayed.
